Hinava is a traditional Sabahan food originated from the Kadazan's and Dusuns's.It is also mainly fish.This delicious food has been the favourite of many kadazanDusun's alike. It is simple but delicious ! Normally, it's will served with rice during lunch or dinner time.
All ingredient used must be fresh and clean :
HINAVA
INGREDIENT'S:
Ikan Tenggiri ( Sederhana besar)
6 Ulas Bawang Merah (dihiris)
3 Ulas Bawang Putih (dihiris)
2 biji cili merah (dihiris)
Halia – besar ibu jari (d hiris)
Garam – secukup rasa
Limau kapas 5-10 biji (Ambil jusnya)
CARA CARA:
Ikan Tenggiri dibersihkan terlebih dahulu dan hiris isi ikan kecil-kecil mengikut kesukaan dan masukkan ke dalam mangkuk.
Tuangkan sedikit air panas ke atas isi ikan selama 2 minit lalu gaul dan buang air.
Tambahkan 5 cubit garam dan semua bahan yang telah dihiris halus tadi dan gaulkan bersama dengan isi ikan.
Kemudian dicampur dengan jus limau kapas. (kalau ada kurang rasa tu,bolehlah ditambah ikut kesukaan) and leave for 10 minutes before serving.
